Bigfoot Database: 100+ Years Of Bigfoot Sightings In The U.S. & Canada

As we come to the end of 2022, it’s fun to look back and reflect on strange sightings witnessed by folks all over the world.

When it comes to Bigfoot appearances, there’s a website that’s been hard at work making sure they’re documented, dating back to 1995. Although, the oldest sighting enlisted in the database is from more than 100 years ago in 1921.

Through archives and reports submitted directly to their website, the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization has gathered a database of thousands of Sasquatch sightings. Each report is geocoded, timestamped, and sometimes photos and videos of the evidence are included, and frankly, it’s just fun to see if any of these sightings happened near you.

f you’re looking for a specific county in a city, it’s easy to do with a few simple clicks. For example, here’s a portion of a story submitted by someone in Pima County, Arizona, which happened back in 1975:

“I can’t forget, like it was burned in my mind, as I was poking around the old corral that was north of the campus at least a good half mile or more. First thing that bothered me was my hair stood on end, then a pungent smell hit me. then I heard it. I saw through the creosote brush a large grayish/brown hairy creature crouched over a gopher den, digging at it. I was perhaps 50 yards away and stood in total fear and shock what seemed like an eternity, watching it dig with what looked like its hands, it then started to turn towards me.”
