Here’s an odd record to break.

A man in India recently achieved a wonky goal in the city of Mathura by staring at the sun for a full hour without blinking. That’s all according to a local media report. The person who broke such a record is a retired government worker named MS Verma, and he pulled off the remarkable feat in late November 2021.

Earlier on January 21, 2019, the previous record was set by Pradeep Belagavi for observing the sun for 10 minutes continuously.

The 70-year-old man has made the record with company from the Global Research Foundation team and government doctor. MS Verma, retired from his duties as the Deputy Commissioner of Sales Tax, and has moved on to bigger and definitely brighter things like getting his name in the Guinness Book of Records.

Way to go. There’s no word on what his vision is like now, but I’m sure he was seeing spots for a while.
