Sure, we’ve all heard that we should “find yourself” but that doesn’t mean physically. Here’s a fun story: A man in Turkey decided to join a search party for someone who had been reported missing.

Well, he didn’t realize that he was the “missing” person in question.

The 50-year-old Beyhan Mutlu had been drinking with friends when he wandered into a nearby forest — never good for a person who’s been sippin’ back on grandpa’s ol’ cough medicine. When he didn’t come back, his friends grew concerned and reported him missing to authorities.

As news of the “missing” man got around town, volunteers from different neighborhoods joined in on the rescue mission. However, one of those people was Mutlu, himself. He didn’t realize that the subject of the search was himself.

According to Turkish news channel NTV, according to Vice, the search party suddenly heard a voice amongst the crowd say, “Who are we looking for? I am here.”

The big fiasco ended with the authorities escorting him back to his home in the country’s Bursa province. At least he got a good night’s sleep — hopefully.
