Sky Hub: DIY Sky Surveillance For Spotting UAPs & UFOs

Today’s consumer grade technology is finally cheap enough to assemble our own network of smart sensors to capture the digital signatures of UAPs.

Hey, there’s a lot up in the sky — darting this way and that — when you actually take the time to stare upwards long enough. However, not everyone has that much time on their hands during the evenings.

This is where Sky Hub steps in and helps you out. Especially, given the low cost and high capability of today’s consumer-grade technology that’s available now.

Sky Hub’s mission is to “connect a network of civilian-owned sensor arrays, use machine learning to catalogue anomalous events, and share this data with researchers.”

The website explains how to set up your very own “sky tracker,” including the hardware they suggest you buy. Then, the crowd-sourced network of smart trackers with “edge processing” uploads your data of unusual phenomena to a Sky Hub Cloud — a place for all UAP and UFO enthusiasts to view your footage.

Why They’re Doing This

“Today’s consumer grade technology is finally cheap enough to assemble our own network of smart sensors to capture the digital signatures of UAPs.”

If setting up all of this hardware isn’t your forte, there’s also a YouTube channel you can subscribe to called UAP Tracker. Often, they have livestreams initiated so that anyone can stop by and search for lights in the sky.

Here’s how it works:

The Sky Hub system is a work in progress, said Christopher Cogswell, chair of Sky Hub’s science advisory board. The group encourages individuals to join, but early adopters should be aware that the system software is currently in alpha, and hardware changes are still possible.

The ultimate goal is building and hosting a worldwide, digital UFO database that anyone can access under a Creative Commons License using Sky Hub’s open-source software.
