Whether you believe this or not, it’s some compelling video.

A camper, which a fancy drone, was shocked that he caught the “Loch Ness Monster” in his footage. Richard Mavor, a 54-year-old pilot, was filming footage for his Youtube channel, Richard Outdoors, when he accidentally captured the figure swimming on the banks of the loch in August 2021.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he said in an interview. “I had to rewind the footage several times and have watched it several times since. I don’t know what it is but it certainly has the same shape as previous sightings of Nessie.”

“The more I watch it I think ‘crikey!’ there really wasn’t anything in the area that could be,” he said. “There was no driftwood or anything like that so who knows. We had just parked up and I thought I would get some nice shots on the beach for my Youtube. I didn’t notice what I had picked up until others told me to watch out for it.“It could be a trick of the light but we can’t be sure.”

Of course, social media users have been ripping it apart and suggesting that the video does show driftwood emerging from beneath the water’s surface and floating towards the shore. Others are saying that the creature could be a hoax created using fancy CGI.

Meanwhile — hoax or not — Mavor raised £15,000 (more than $20,000) with his group for the Alzheimer’s Society as part of the adventure. They raised all of that money by completing the Great Glen Canoe Challenge in four days covering 62 miles. Not too shabby!
